The Santiago’s path can
have a lot of different tours to travel. They have different steps. We decided
to choose the French tour. It
consist of walking from Sarria to Santiago de Compostela.
This tour can be
divided in a lot of steps. We have been chosen it in five steps because we are
planning to stay during five days. In the next pages we are going to specify
the steps.
We decided to choose
the hostels implicating the cheaper price and the number of seat reservations
with the quality, observations, etc.
Our tour is divided in
five steps:
1. Sarria-Portomarin: It has around 22’1 km of length (Click here to see the specific description.) We recommend you to rest in the hostel called “A casa de Carmen.” It’s open all the
year and it costs only 10€! You can
also have a breakfast paying 5€ more. There are 30 seat reservations, but don’t
worry, you can phone them to reserve a bed.
2. Portomarin-Palas
de Rei: It has around 25 km of
length (Click here to see the specific description). We recommend you to rest in the hostel called “Casa García.” It’s open since Easter to
November. It costs only 10€ and you can reserve. There are more than 30 seat
reservations.
3. Palas
de Rei-Arzúa: It has around 28’8
km of length (Click here to see the specific description). It is the longer step of this tour. We recommend
you to rest in the hostel called “O
Apalpador.” It’s open all the year. It costs only 10€ and you phone to
reserve a bed. There are 30 seat reservations.
4. Arzúa-Pedrouzo:
It has around 19’1 km
of length (Click here to see the specific description). We recommend you to rest in the hostel called “Camiño das Ocas.” It only costs 10€, it’s
open all the year and there are 30 seat reservations. It is very modern and
relaxing.
5. Pedrouzo-Santiago
de Compostela: It has around 20
km of length (Click here to see the specific description). It is the last step. It’s not necessary to rest in
an hostel, because you can go back whenever you want, but if you want to rest
in an hostel, we recommend you to rest in the hostel called “San Lázaro” It is open all the year. It
costs only 10€ (7€ the second and third night) and there are more than 80 seat
reservations. It is so near from Santiago, so, you can rest there to do turism.
If you want to rest one night in each hostel, the
budget will be 50€.
