Palas de Rei-Arzua

This step is known because there are a lot of rivers and streams. It is also the longest path of the Santiago's path in Galicia.

At the beginning, we cross the road next to the house of the City Council in Palas de Rei and we also go down in order to cross the road again and we continue going down in the rocky path do Apostolo. If we continue walking forward, we will see a sculpture. We leave to the Compostela avenue and after 500 meters, we have to go to the right so that we cross the Roxan river. Moreover, we arrive at San Sebastian church and we go up crossing some villages. Finally, we go down to cross a new road (N-547)

We follow a path between eucalyptus and oaks and we will arrive in Lacua. We cross a stream and we arrive in San Xulian do Camiño. At this moment, there is an asphalted road that takes to Pallota and then we have to go down in order to arrive at Pambre river. If we cross it, we will see a stunning forest which it takes to Casanova.

Furthermore, we continue in an asphalted road and we go to the left until we cross el rego do Vilar. Eventually, we go up a gradient to arrive in Campanilla.

In a road, we leave the province of Lugo and we arrive in O coto, where is the first village of La Coruña.
When we leave this village, we must go to the left to go down in order to arrive at Leboreiro, best known as a land of hares.

We leave Leboreiro and cross the Seco river in a medieval bridge. The milestone 56 express that Disicabo is near. There is a near between a road and a park called Melide. One kilometer later, we go down to the Furelos river. We cross it in another medieval bridge and we arrive at San Xoan de Furelos church.

We cross next to San Roque church. In addition, we continue walking in San Pedro street or in do Convento street. They takes to the same path, therefore you can go in one you want. We will arrive in Melide. Here there is a museum called da Terra de Melide, a church, a townhall of the XVII century and other cultural aspects. We must cross the San Antonio street. We leave Melide and we go down to cross a road in order to arrive in San Martiño. Then, we will see a restaurant and we will go to the right.

We arrive in Carballal between eucalyptus. Then, we will see in a rocky road the Catasol river. In a beautiful we arrive in Raido. Fastly, we go to Parabispo. We leave a forest where is Peroxa.

We go down in order to cross the Boente river. We go up in some fields and we will see some churchs.
We go down again until we arrive at Ribeiral stream, which is between Pedrido and Rio. Two kilometers later, we arrive at a river, which takes to Ribadiso da Baixo.

We go up the N-547 after a detour. Eventually we will se Arzua.
